Birding at and around our Smith home today 3/16/2010...
Bird activity is high... migration is creeping up on us... we are very excited to see what birds will pass through and sad to see our winter visitors leave...
Today's birds included:
Killdeers
Says Phoebe
Western Meadowlark
Horned Lark
Abert's Towhee
Bendire's Thrasher
Sage Thrasher
White Crowned Sparrows
Anna's Hummingbirds
House Sparrows
Lesser Goldfinches
House Finches
Curved-Billed Thrasher
Cactus Wren
Northern Cardinal
Swallows (not positive -- but most likely Northern Rough-Winged)
Red Tailed Hawks
Grackles
Crows
Eurasion Doves
and one UFB up high in the tree... could not see it clearly enough or get close enough...
